Nature’s Logic dog food has a goal of providing your dog foods with ingredients of the highest quality that is free of any harmful genetic altering chemicals. The ingredients are also free of any synthetic materials.

The owners of Nature’s Logic understands that dogs need an all-natural diet that best mimics the natural diets their wilder relatives eat. While dogs are domesticated, they still require the same nutrients as wolves do.

Our Nature’s Logic dog food review will go over all of the available formulas that Nature’s Logic has to offer and their benefits. They specialize in dry kibble, wet food, and even raw diets. We will also go over whether their claim that their diets are made of only the highest of quality ingredients is valid or not.

With this review, you should get a better idea of what makes Nature’s Logic different than other dog food brands, and if it is the right brand to feed your dog.

Who Manufactures Nature’s Logic Dog Food?

Nature’s Logic manufactures their dog foods in different factories across the United States of America. The dry kibble is made in Pawnee City, Nebraska, the wet foods in Emporia, Kansas, and the raw foods in Pleasant Prairie, Missouri.

The reason they use different factories to manufacture each formula line is to ensure there is no cross-contamination and each food line gets its unique safety checks to ensure the best quality control possible.

Recall History of Nature’s Logic Dog Food

As of writing this article Nature’s Logic has had no history of recall. The business started in 2005, which means they have had thirteen years with no issues. This is overwhelmingly positive as it means the company is strict on their quality control.

Another reason they may not have a recall history is that their animal proteins are sourced from human-grade animal proteins. Since human food regulations are stricter than dog food regulations that mean dogs are getting way better quality-controlled ingredients when compared to other dog food sources.

Most of their sources come from the USA, but others are sourced out of the country due to stricter quality control than the United States of America enforces.

Nature’s Logic uses an animal protein as the first ingredient in all of their formulas. This ensures that your dog is getting an optimal protein source that their bodies need to develop and function properly. Nature’s Logic uses the following proteins:

  • Beef
  • Chicken
  • Duck
  • Salmon
  • Lamb
  • Pork
  • Rabbit
  • Sardine

The second most significant contributor to Nature’s Logic Canine Beef Meal Feast is millet. Millet is a wholesome, natural grain and carbohydrate that benefits your dog’s overall health rather than only supplying dogs with sugar, plus it is easier for your dog to digest.

Even though the formula contains grains, it is free of corn, wheat, and soy ingredients that are mainly used as filler ingredients. The remaining 40% of the formula consists of all-natural dried fruits and vegetables.

Duck & Salmon Meal Feast combines two delicious and allergy-friendly ingredients that boost your dog’s health inside and out.

Key Features

  • Protein Content—38%
  • Fat Content—15%
  • Carbohydrates—23.20%
  • Fiber Content—5%

This formula contains five different animal protein sources; duck, turkey, chicken, pork, and salmon. The combination of ingredients provides optimal animal protein sources for dogs that help maintain a healthy body from digestive health to the shine of their fur.

Salmon is a fantastic ingredient that benefits dog skin and fur, but it is unfortunate that it is low on the ingredient list as this means your dog is not getting enough of the benefits of salmon.

But on the plus side, this formula follows the theme of the other Nature’s Logic recipes by including a high mix of varying fruits, vegetables, and nuts that act as a natural vitamin and mineral source that dogs can easily absorb.

One of the better fruits included in this formula is pumpkin. Pumpkin helps maintain a healthy digestive tract in your dog as well as making the transition to Nature’s Logic, whether as a new food or trying new formulas, easier on your dog.

Pros

  • Contains multiple animal proteins for a boost in flavor and health benefit
  • Has an optimal source of probiotics and enzymes
  • Ideal for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages
  • Comes in 4.4 lb., 15.4 lb., and 26.4 lb. bag options

Cons

  • Contains turkey meal and chicken fat, so not ideal for dogs with allergies to poultry
  • Salmon is the fifth ingredient on the list, so there is not as much of it within the formula compared to prior ingredients, such as turkey meal

For the dog that enjoys poultry and fish and the pet owner who enjoys healthy dog food options, Duck & Salmon Meal Feast is the dog food to turn to.

Bottom Line

Nature’s Logic dog food is one of the best out there. They focus the majority of their attention on sourcing high-quality ingredients that are considered human-grade edible. But just because humans can eat the ingredients does not mean you should try the food alongside your dog.

The diets are explicitly made to benefit dogs and their dietary needs. Nature’s Logic can be fed at all life stages. You can keep your dog on this diet throughout their lifetime, and your dog will be sure to enjoy the lifetime delectable diet.

This food does tend to run a bit high in price, but their quality control and ingredients prove they are worth the price. Another thing, though, is that Nature’s Logic supports smaller vendors rather than large pet chain stores.

If you are considering switching your dog to this diet, you will have to go to their website to see what small vendors in your area sell this brand. But the extra work to get this food it worth it to give your dog an optimal and well-balanced food source.
